Bringing fashion to digital space, Zara is entering the metaverse

Popular fashion brand across the world, Zara now decided to step into the digital world, will launch a brand new collection Lime Glam

Numerous brands and companies across industries worldwide are making efforts to explore new opportunities and spaces to evolve in the digital world. Following the pathway, world-famous fashion brand Zara has decided to enter the digital space and launched a brand new collection designed to be worn inside and outside of the virtual world. The collection launched by Zara is called Lime Glam that includes wearable garments and accessories. Wearable to be worn on digital space will be available in Zepeto Metaverse while also available in physical form on physical Zara stores.

Fashion and wearables have always been among the driving factors in society and act to steer the minds of fashion-conscious individuals, making brands like Zara famous worldwide. The same opportunity is waiting to be catered to inside the virtual world. Several metaverses, including Zilliqa, Decentraland, Somnium Space, and more, are now working towards availing such brands home to cater to avatars. Such wearables are being designed to stay relevant in both the roles, including one for ‘real life (IRL) appearance and another for your virtual self.

The easiest way to showcase the personality in the metaverse is to choose those wearables that reflect your usual real lifestyle. That’s how anyone can merge their avatar with their physical personalities. Zara would provide an option to buyers who opt for the wearable physical version to get access to its digital version to streamline the buying. The official website of Zara will have a dedicated section that would contain a list of avatars showcased, wearing the entire collection Lime Glam that would inspire those who ever wish to purchase any of such items.

The application in Zepeto offers a photo booth, a floor, and digital walls for the particular collection. For those who don’t know, Zepeto is the same virtual space where another fashion company Gucci launched its Gucci Villa in August 2021.

Brands involved in the fashion and beauty space are busy experimenting with virtual versions of products they created in the physical world to embrace the metaverse’s potential. It’s clear that today consumers spend most of their time being involved in the digital space, so eventually, brands also want to build unique experiences by adding their physical goods and replacing the need for a lot of physical purchases.
