Brave And Gemini have taken a step ahead in their partnership by launching a new update for Brave Android App, v1.38, today for the users. The update enables them to connect their Gamini account to the browser version of Brave Rewards.
The goal is to efficiently manage Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) on the platform. Brave Rewards’ Android update is in addition to the already existing option of Uphold.
Users, whether verified or unverified, can avail of the update. Those who are unverified users of Brave Rewards will first have to verify their accounts by creating an account or logging in to their respective Gemini accounts.
Once verified, all the accrued BAT will be transferred to their Gemini account. The accrued amount includes Basic Attention Tokens that were or are purchased on Gemini, and users will get the liberty to use BAT freely within the Brave Rewards ecosystem.
An instance of moving BAT within the ecosystem includes tipping a creator for his or her content. BAT will be directly transferred to the creator’s account, provided the creator is connected to Gemini, just like the user.
Users will have to verify again with Gemini if they are pre-verified through the Uphold option. Additionally, they may opt to disconnect their Uphold account to proceed with Gemini on Brave Rewards.
The new integrated custodial wallet is for every Brave Rewards user, irrespective of their verification status.
Christopher Nguyen, the Product Manager of Brave Rewards, expressed his excitement to deliver the highlight requested feature to the users. Christopher Nguyen stated that the users of Brave Rewards would now be able to have more control over their Basic Attention Tokens to move them around freely within the ecosystem.
The Head of Strategy at Gemini, Marshall Beard, said that the team was equally thrilled to continue its partnership with Brave Rewards by offering customers a seamless experience of buying, selling, and earning cryptocurrency from anywhere they wanted.
He added that the updated version of the Brave mobile application would enable customers to leverage the flexibility of connecting their Gemini account to Brave’s desktop and mobile devices.
