Booking The WWE Survivor Series Card After WWE Crown Jewel 2025

WWE Crown Jewel 2025 is in the books, and the likes of John Cena, Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins are leaving Perth, Australia with marquee victories.

At WWE’s latest PLE on ESPN, Rollins defeated Rhodes for the first time ever to win the Crown Jewel Championship while Cena outlasted AJ Styles in an instant classic and Reed picked up a career-defining win over Roman Reigns. Here are full results for the show:

  • Bronson Reed defeated Roman Reigns in an Australian Street Fight
  • Stephanie Vaquer defeated Tiffany Stratton to win the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship
  • John Cena beat AJ Styles
  • Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley beat Asuka and Kairi Sane
  • Seth Rollins defeated Cody Rhodes to win the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship

With Crown Jewel officially in the rearview mirror, WWE’s next major stop is Survivor Series on Nov. 29 in San Diego. Given what transpired at Crown Jewel as well as recent happenings on Raw and SmackDown, the WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2025 card is already taking shape.

Women’s WarGames Match

AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley vs. Asuka, Becky Lynch, Kairi Sane, Lash Legend and Nia Jax

WWE appears to be combining a handful of feuds across both Raw and SmackDown into one star-studded match for the women’s division.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (h/t WrestlingNews.co) recently reported the creative plans for the women’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series: “The babyface team is slated to be the all-star lineup of AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Iyo Sky. They will reportedly face the heel team of Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and the NXT standout, Lash Legend.”

On paper, many of these selections are logical ones. Lee, when on TV, has been feuding with Lynch while Sky and Ripley just defeated Asuka and Sane at WWE Crown Jewel. Some of the other names mentioned in this report, like Legend and Jax, don’t appear to make sense at the moment, but WWE does have nearly two months to create tension among the stars involved.

WWE would perhaps be better off booking Lynch vs. Lee for the Intercontinental Championship instead, but that may be saved for a later date. If so, then WWE Survivor Series will likely feature most, if not all, of these stars competing for bragging rights in San Diego.

Intercontinental Championship: John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio

Last month, it was reported that WWE was considering Dominik Mysterio as one of John Cena’s final opponents. Now, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Sports Illustrated) reports that this bout is indeed penciled in for Survivor Series: WarGames.

Of course, Survivor Series takes place in San Diego, Mysterio’s hometown, making this the ideal location for Cena vs. Mysterio for the first time ever. In fact, there are plenty of reasons why this match is the perfect choice for this particular PLE.

One, Mysterio is one of WWE’s best heel heels while Cena is arguably the company’s most popular star right now. Two, Cena has never held the Intercontinental title, currently held by Mysterio and the lone singles championship Cena is yet to win in his legendary career. Finally, Cena just beat AJ Styles at Crown Jewel, and Styles is a former Intercontintal Champion, one who was recently defeated by Mysterio.

Combine all these factors, and it appears that Mysterio vs. Cena is a virtual shoo-in for Survivor Series.

Men’s WarGames Match

CM Punk, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, LA Knight and Roman Reigns vs. The Vision (Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins), Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory

WWE has been playing the seeds for a massive men’s WarGames match for weeks, but some of the expected names for the bout are a bit surprising.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Cageside Seats), Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory, who’s been off TV for months, will join The Vision on the heel side. That quintet will face three members of the former Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu and Jey Uso) a long with CM Punk and either Jimmy Uso or LA Knight. Given the recent on-screen problems between the Usos, the logical booking choice is for Jimmy to be left off the face team in favor of Knight, potentially leading to more issues for this reignited version of The Bloodline.

There are plenty of factors that make these reported teams likely to remain this way. Just consider Punk’s continued issues with Rollins, The Vision’s beef with all of the babyfaces here, Theory’s need for a gimmick makeover and Lesnar’s reunion with Paul Heyman at WrestlePalooza.

With Reigns losing to Bronson Reed at WWE Crown Jewel after a plethora of outside interference while Rollins beat Rhodes, this Survivor Series WarGames match appears to be virtually set in stone, with perhaps only a star or two changing.

WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre will face Jacob Fatu on next week’s SmackDown in a match that will reportedly determine the No. 1 contender for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship.

Although Rhodes lost to Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, he only did so after Rhodes hit him with a cheap shot, and that bout was not for the WWE Championship. Although Fatu is one of WWE’s best rising stars, it’s unlikely that, as a fellow babyface, he will be the man who faces Rhodes at WWE Survivor Series 2025. Indeed, with Fatu reportedly set to participate in the men’s WarGames Match, it is likely that a heel member of The Vision will cost him his match against McIntyre.

The Scottish superstar certainly has some unfinished business left with Rhodes, who defeated McIntyre at last month’s WrestlePalooza in tainted fashion. The feud between McIntyre and Rhodes never really got any closure, and with the majority of WWE’s top singles stars factored into the WarGames Match, McIntyre is one of the few stars capable of stepping up as a Survivor Series opponent for Rhodes.

Although Rhodes fell short at WWE Crown Jewel, expect him to face and defeat McIntyre at Survivor Series next month.
