Bitfinex Announces Listing Of New Markets For Virtual World, The Sandbox(SAND)

A leading cryptocurrency platform, Bitfinex, has announced the listing of new markets for a blockchain-based virtual world, The Sandbox (SAND).

The SAND is built on the Ethereum network and allows users to explore and buy virtual land and make a space for itself in the 3D metaverse. Deposits and Trading in SAND will start from May and include Tether Tokens (USDt) and US Dollars(USD).

CTO at Bitfinex, Paolo Ardoino, shares his excitement regarding the collaboration, warmly welcoming the Sandbox to its ever-expanding digital token ecosystem.

Ardoino further says that it is projects like The Sandbox that power utility and engagement in the metaverse and allow space for users’ growth.

While COO & Co-Founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, was also delighted to witness the SAND tokens reaching more audiences by educating them on the immense potential of the metaverse.

Launched on May 15, 2012, the Sandbox is a mobile game developed by a game studio dubbed Pixowl. In 2018, Animoca Brands acquired the brand, naming a blockchain-based 3D open-world game after it.

A virtual world, the Sandbox is a virtual world that allows players to create, own and monetize their experiences.
