Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, temporarily suspended its futures trading platform on Thursday following a sudden technical issue.
The company confirmed the disruption in a public statement, noting that its Futures UM service was inaccessible and all futures activity had been halted while engineers worked on a fix.
“New developments will be shared here. Thank you for your patience,” Binance posted during the outage.
Roughly an hour later, at 10:04, Binance announced that the problem had been fully resolved and futures trading had resumed. “All futures trading is now fully active. Thank you for your patience and support,” the exchange said in its update.
The brief outage follows heightened trading activity across the market, but Binance did not provide details on what caused the interruption.
