Billie Eilish’s Career-Making Albums Become Chart Wins Again

Even in quieter stretches of her career, Billie Eilish never truly disappears from the Billboard charts. Her music has a way of resurfacing without any major push, which is a pattern that’s playing out again this week as two of her earlier albums return simply because listeners keep revisiting them.

Two Billie Eilish Albums Make Billboard Comebacks

Eilish has released only three full-lengths during her career, and two of them reappear on at least one Billboard chart apiece this frame. Her debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, is back on a pair of tallies. It reenters the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart at No. 49 — in second-to-last place — and also finds its way back onto the Billboard 200, where it also barely holds on.

Happier Than Ever Returns to Multiple Lists

Eilish’s Grammy-nominated sophomore set Happier Than Ever is also active again. It appears on three rankings in the U.S. this week, and returns to two of them. The second Eilish project settles in one spot ahead of her debut at No. 48 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart and finds its way back to the Top Alternative Albums list, where it sneaks back in at No. 24.

Two Massive Albums, No No. 1s

Both When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier Than Ever have spent hundreds of weeks on the Billboard 200 and years on Billboard’s rock-focused rosters. Neither, however, has reached No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. Her debut peaked at No. 10, while its follow-up climbed to No. 6.

Hit Me Hard and Soft Is Still Billie Eilish’s Big Winner

Eilish’s current focus, Hit Me Hard and Soft, continues to stand out as her most successful project right now. The 2024 full-length appears on five Billboard charts this week, holding at No. 1 on the Top Alternative Albums ranking and at No. 3 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums roster.

Hit Me Hard and Soft is currently being promoted by Eilish’s world tour of the same name, which currently has her outside of America, though she’ll launch another leg in the U.S. this fall.

Released in May of last year, the project opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with one of the largest debuts of the year and has produced hits like “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower.”
