Base Ecosystem Sees Triple-Digit Gains, But Challenges Remain

The Base ecosystem has experienced a strong month, with several tokens posting impressive triple-digit gains over the last 30 days.

Leading the charge is @AerodromeFi’s $AERO, which remains the largest token by market cap within the Base ecosystem, a position it has held since July.

$AERO’s success is not limited to market cap alone. The token boasts over 184,000 unique holders, more than double that of its main competitor, $ALB. This growing user base further solidifies its dominance within the Base ecosystem.

Interestingly, the memecoin $DEGEN has emerged as the token with the most holders, with an impressive 760,000 addresses. This surge in popularity highlights the strong retail interest in speculative assets within the Base network.

However, not everything is running smoothly. Base’s first memecoin, $TOSHI, has seen a significant decline in activity. Despite occasional spikes, daily active addresses have dropped to just 10 to 30. This sharp decline in engagement suggests that $TOSHI is losing momentum and may struggle to maintain relevance in the competitive memecoin market.
