Dramedy Ana, starring Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera, returns for its third and final season. The series that got its start as a Pantaya original will make its premiere on TelevisaUnivision’s ViX streaming platform in the U.S. July 12.
Ana is a a fictional story based on some of de la Reguera’s real-life experiences, in which the actress explores the many “Anas” she has never dared to be in a journey of self-discovery, using humor to face the many challenges in her personal and professional life.
In 2021, more than a year after its launch on Pantaya, the series was picked up for two additional seasons. The show marked the actress’ debut as a creator, writer and producer in 2020.
For season 3, de la Reguera makes her directorial debut as well. The final season consists of six 30-minute episodes. She directs the last two and Marcelo Tobar helms the rest.
In the final chapter, Ana struggles to fix the mess her life has become after fleeing her own wedding, losing her TV career and her financial stability. She has to rebuild her life and demonstrate – to herself – that she is a serious, versatile actor.
The main cast also includes Tina Romero, David Palacio, Ali Gua Gua, Paly Duval and Gabriela Roel, who are now joined by such big names as Paralympian Arly Velázquez and Mariana Gajá. The season also features cameos and guest appearances by high-profile international figures.
