The Ethereum roadmap interconnected protocol upgrades that makes the network more scalable, secure and sustainable. All the ETH upgrades are being built by multiple teams from across the Ethereum ecosystem. And recently, the Ethereum co-founder shared a twitter post regarding an update of Ethereum Roadmap.
The Updated Ethereum Roadmap Diagram
On November 05, 2022, Vitalik Buterin posted the “Update roadmap diagram!” which includes an image of the ETH upgrade.
He then posted in the next twitter thread about the “Big Changes,” as he wrote-
- “The Verge is not just about “verkle trees”, it’s about “verification”. Endgame: fully SNARKed ethereum;
- The Scourge (new): ensure reliable and fair credibly neutral transaction inclusion, solve MEV issues;
- Single slot finality as stage 2 Merge milestone;
- More concrete milestones in every category;
- More explicit role for quantum-proofness as a necessary component of the “endgame” protocol.”
Mr. Buterin also thanked the Ethereum researcher, Justin Drake, and his team for supporting him in preparing the Ethereum roadmap.
Now, proceeding towards the comment section of this following post, it can be seen that the updated ETH roadmap received a mixed reaction from the crypto community. Some appreciate the ETH roadmap, while some called it a “Scam.”
On the other hand, some users made their assumption and highlighted “$THE Protocol,” an ERC20 meme token, as it is inspired by Vitalik Buterin’s Tweet.
As on October 14, 2022, Vitalik tweeted “Someone should make a project called “THE Protocol”, so that their shills can say “Look, soandso mentioned THE!” pretty much any time anyone says anything.”
Moreover, ETH’s upgrades section to Ethereum’s official website mentioned the Beacon Chain, which introduced proof-of-stake to the Ethereum ecosystem as it merged with the original Ethereum proof-of-work in September 2022. The Beacon Chain presented the consensus logic and block gossip protocol which now secures Ethereum. The Beacon Chain is the name of the original proof-of-stake blockchain, launched in 2020.
