- The new year 2023 continues to be unlucky for Solana, as Tiny Colony recently shifted to another blockchain.
- In order to explore opportunities in tech, it will soon shift to Immuable X which is based on the Ethereum blockchain.
Game-plan for the future
Solana enables gaming enthusiasts and Non-Fungible Token (NFT) holders to explore possibilities of the blockchain ecosystem. The SOL token has slumped by more than 90%. The Tiny Colony, a web3 game based on the Solana blockchain, shifted to another blockchain.
In an announcement from the creators of DeGods and yoots, Frandegods account named Frank III stated that: “Dear Solana Community. Thank you. The support from this community has meant the world to us. Thank you for putting us on the map. We could not have done any of this without you.”
“We have come to the realization that in order to grow, we need to explore new opportunities. We believe that now is the time to take a calculated risk and embark on a new journey. After all, the biggest risk is not taking one. So that’s why today we are excited to announce that DeGods, y00ts and $DUST will be bringing onto new blockchains,” Frank added in a tweet on December 26.
“y00ts will be moving to Polygon. DeGods to Ethereum and $DUST will be bridged to both Polygon and Ethereum. The bridges will be live in late Q1 2023 (estimated). You thought I forgot about the points? You will be able to spend your points on minting NFTs that go through our brand new NFT accelerator launchpad program.”
Tinyverse Games, the developer of Tiny Colony, recently explained its plan to move its still-in-development NFT game, from the Solana blockchain to Ethereum scaling network, called Immutable X. “Immutable has been very gaming-focused since the beginning,” said the Tinyverse CEO and co-founder Arshia Navabi.
Ethereum-based games, like Axie Infinity, the Board Ape Yacht Club’s Otherside have accounted for thousands of dollars in revenue in terms of NFT sales, which is much bigger when compared with Tiny Colony.
According to CNBC, back in February 2022, GameStop gaming company partnered with the blockchain-based startup Immutable X to introduce a new NFT marketplace. The companies announced a whopping $100 million in Immutable X’s IMX tokens, in order to encourage NFT content creators.
