The President Donald Trump-linked crypto arm has just made another significant move in the Ethereum ecosystem. World Liberty Financial (WLF) has expanded its Ethereum position, acquiring 3,473 ETH worth $13 million at an average price of $3,743.
Following the latest purchase shared by Lookonchain, World Liberty’s total ETH holdings now stand at approximately 73,616 ETH, which is currently valued at around $275.9 million.
This move comes as Ethereum ETFs continue to dominate capital inflows, raising a key question: Will strong institutional demand push ETH toward a record high above $4,891? Or are these indicators signaling a sustained bull run?.
The immediate deposit into Aave suggests a long-term strategy, with WLFI earning yield rather than trading for short-term gains.

The company previously bought 3,007 ETH last week for $10 million, as Ethereum showed signs of strong market momentum.
That purchase followed a $3.5 million acquisition in May, where World Liberty Financial secured 1,587 ETH at lower prices. As of now, its average acquisition cost stands at $3,272 per token.
Notably, Ethereum’s strong market performance is helping boost the valuation of crypto portfolios heavily exposed to the asset.
Ethereum also faces competition from other ETH-focused institutional products. Tools like Nansen’s ETH ETF Dashboard show competing fund flows from VanEck, Grayscale, and Bitwise, creating a diversified institutional landscape .
WLFI’s 3,473 ETH purchase and instant staking adds a new dimension to the institutional adoption narrative. When paired with record ETF inflows, it strengthens the bullish case—yet also invites questions.
For now, Ethereum is no longer playing second fiddle to Bitcoin. Its infrastructure, institutional support, and on-chain usage are converging.
Whether this translates into a record price remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: Ethereum has seized a moment.
Ethereum isn’t just gaining traction—it’s becoming a core portfolio asset. All eyes now turn to regulatory outcomes. A positive signal there could unlock a path toward a record $4,891—and maybe beyond.
