Ethereum Staking Surges to Record High as Over 35 Million ETH Locked

Ethereum has reached a significant milestone in early June, with total ETH staked surpassing 35 million for the first time.

According to data from CryptoQuant, over 500,000 ETH were added to staking contracts during the first half of the month alone, setting a new all-time high and signaling deepening investor conviction.

This surge in staking contributes to a continued decline in Ethereum’s liquid supply, suggesting long-term holders are increasingly opting for yield-generating strategies rather than active trading.

In parallel, Ethereum accumulation addresses—wallets with no history of selling—have also recorded an all-time high, now collectively holding 22.8 million ETH.

These addresses are widely regarded as a gauge of smart money behavior, emphasizing strong confidence in Ethereum’s long-term value proposition.

Together, these two metrics underscore Ethereum’s strengthening fundamentals and its perceived resilience in the crypto market. The rise in both staked and non-selling holdings positions ETH as one of the most conviction-driven assets in the digital economy, with clear signs of reduced sell pressure and growing investor alignment on future growth potential.
