“Ethereum is Good” Initiative Donates Thousands to Visionary Social Enterprises in Just 72 Hours

The Ethereum Bull Token, born from Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin’s game-changing vision of how meme coins should be used for good, has been grabbing the spotlight since its launch. Primarily, the meme coin shows how much good can be achieved by unleashing the bull energy of the crypto market.

Built on Ethereum, $EBULL is a meme coin, symbolizing the vision “Ethereum is Good,”. Vitalik, who owns 1.5% of the tokens supply,plans to donate his share largely to charitable causes.

Within the first 72 hours, Team $EBULL made several donations to various organizations working for diverse causes. In the following segments, we will explore these donations and why they’re crucial for the world we live in.

Helping Flood Victims in Bangladesh

The South Asian country of Bangladesh recently witnessed one of its deadliest floods of recent times that took away over 40 lives and forced as many as 300,000 people to flee from their homes. Altogether, close to 4.5 million people were affected by the disaster. To help those impacted, $EBULL team donated $7,500, which would go towards providing essential food and shelter for those left homeless by the disaster. 

To Learnville App to Support Education in Web3

The Learnville app which empowers students through a learn to earn model, received a $10,000 donation from $EBULL to support Web3 education for 10,000 students.  This initiative aligns with the UN’s fourth Sustainable Development Goal, SDG-4, which stands for ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. 

Support to Building Pakistan’s Biggest Web3 Community

Web3 Pakistan is on a mission to build Pakistan’s biggest web3 community. It runs specialized incubator programs, an exclusive community for blockchain developers, co-working spaces in Lahore, Pakistan, and much more. To support education, especially in Web3, and offer access to equal opportunities, $EBull donated US$30,000 to Web3Pak. The funding will sponsor Ethereum development education for at least 100 students and establish a $15,000 grant program for Ethereum developers in Pakistan.

Empowering Women with Entrepreneurial and Financial Literacy

The Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiative (BMCCI) was founded in 2007 in Nigeria to provide social, economic, and educational development for the most vulnerable and marginalized members of society: girl children, women, and young people. EthBull donated $10,000 to this cause by teaching the beneficiaries entrepreneurial and financial literacy skills.

Contribution to Eliminate Hunger and Malnutrition from the World

In Pakistan where food insecurity is a critical issue, Rizq delivers nutritious meals to those in need.$EBULL donated $15,000 to support this mission which is inline with the United Nations sustainable development goal 2, aimed at ending hunger and promoting sustainable agriculture. 

Supporting Solar-Powered Water Facilities in Rural Pakistan

With 21 million people lacking access to clean water in Pakistan, $EBULL’s $15,000 donation to Tayaba will help install solar- powered water facilities and distribute water reels to rural households. Founded in 2019, Tayaba delivers simple innovations that ease the accessibility, storage, and transportation of clean water in Pakistan. 

Continuing Donations to Foundation Working on Geroscience

Biomedical initiatives have always been Vitalik Buterin’s primary philanthropic interest. Notably, the Methuselah Foundation is a biomedical charity co-founded by David Gobel and Dr. Aubrey de Grey in 2001. It is named after Methuselah, the grandfather of Noah in the Hebrew Bible, whose lifespan was recorded as 969 years. The foundation works with the mission to make “ 90 the new 50” by 2030. Earlier in March this year, Vitalik donated $336m in book value to the foundation. Following Vitalik’s contribution to the Methuselah Foundation the $EBULL team donated an additional $10,000 to the foundation which aims to extend healthy human lifespans. 

Empowering Foundation Conducting Research on How to Combat Age-related Disease

Another similar donation in the field of anti-aging research was made to the SENS Research Foundation, a charity funding research for treating related diseases. The $EBull team made a repeat donation of $10,000, as Vitalik Buterin had already contributed to the Foundation in 2019. 

Equipping the Ukraine DAO

Founded in February 2022, Ukraine DAO is an online collective using Web3 tech and online community to counter Russian propaganda, promote Ukrainian culture, and document Russian war crimes. The Ethereum Bull Team donated $10,000 to support its efforts.
