In a breaking development, the SEC has postponed its decision on BlackRock’s option application for its spot Ethereum ETF product.
Following the development, the SEC also postponed Bitwise’s option application for Ethereum Spot ETFs.
However, the institution recently made the option decision for Bitcoin Spot ETFs and approved the products. However, the approval in question came exactly 7 months after the Bitcoin Spot ETFs were launched.
If a similar schedule is applied to Ethereum Spot ETFs, we can say that Ethereum options could be approved in February 2025. But of course, time will tell.
On the other hand, the SEC will make its next decision on these products on November 10.
