Taylor Swift has once again made a significant impact on the Digital Song Sales chart with a collection of new releases. While she didn’t take the top spot, she has placed several songs in the highest tier of the chart, which might be even more impressive.
The singer-songwriter debuts four new cuts in the top 10 of this week’s Digital Song Sales chart. She released the package of a quartet of tunes with barely any warning more than a week ago to celebrate the beginning of her The Eras Tour, and fans snapped up anything and everything she gave them.
Leading the way among Swift’s new hits is “All of the Girls You Loved Before,” a fan favorite that starts with 17,500 copies sold, according to data shared by Luminate. The poppy tune opens at No. 2 on the sales-only ranking. All those purchases helped the track open at No. 12 on the Hot 100, the top debut of the week.
At No. 4 is “If This Was A Movie (Taylor’s Version),” which opened with just over 11,000 copies sold in its first frame of availability. One spot lower is “Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version)” with Joy Williams and John Paul White. The two musicians who were featured on the original version were credited as The Civil Wars, however, they have since gone their separate ways. The Hunger Games soundtrack tune began its time on the Digital Song Sales chart with a little under 11,500 copies sold.
As if four top 10 hits at one time wasn’t enough of a show of force, two other Swift tunes appear on this week’s Digital Song Sales chart. Former leader “Anti-Hero” climbs to No. 17, while “Lavender Haze” returns to the ranking, reappearing at No. 49.
With four new top 10 hits on the Digital Song Sales chart, Swift has increased her career total once again and proved that she doesn’t need to promote anything to win. She has now broken into the uppermost space with 80 different songs. Twenty-five of those have gone to No. 1–that’s the most among all acts by far.
Swift only lost out this week to BTS singer Jimin, whose new solo single “Set Me Free Pt. 2” landed at No. 1 with over 60,000 copies sold, several times more than even Swift’s biggest success this time around.
