Ramada By Wyndham Is Looking For New Kind Of CEO In 2023, ‘Chief Eats Officer’

Ramada by Wyndham is proposing a new dream CEO job of sorts, a “Chief Eats Officer,” who will travel to five continents in 2023 to taste some of the most exotic and varied culinary flavors and report back from their journey. The CEO will use the brand’s social media and marketing channels (as well as their own) to share what they find.

The role will require three weeks of the CEO’s time during the summer months of 2023 to visit as many as eight countries in destinations with Ramada properties. As they document the their culinary and travel experiences via articles, photos and videos, they will receive $150 a day to cover expenses. While the position is temporary, the job does come with a $10,000 stipend.

Also part of the “CEO Comp Package” is paid accommodations and air travel, bucket-list travel experiences and an upgrade to Wyndham Rewards Diamond membership. With hotel elite status, the CEO is sure to get top-notch treatment at every hotel on the itinerary.

The result of the CEO’s hard work will be a curated list of “must eats” in various countries to inspire interest in traveling to new destinations with the Ramada brand. With 819,000 rooms around the world, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has plenty of options, too. It is considered to be the world’s largest hotel franchising company by number of hotels with 9,000 properties in more than 95 countries on six continents.

Job applicants must be English speakers over 21 with a passport and Covid-19 vaccination. The job is for a foodie blogger, which means that strong writing skills and proficiency with social media (including Instagram and TikTok) are a must. Anyone from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Germany, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom or the United States are eligible for then position.

Interested CEOs should apply by posting a video to TikTok explaining why they are the best culinary expert for the job and following and tagging @RamadabyWyndham and #RamadaCEO. The more creative and descriptive about their foodie expertise, the better. The deadline to apply is Nov. 14 with the winning CEO announced during the first week of December. Ramada by Wyndham is not the only hotel brand on the job hunt this fall. Four Points by Sheraton is searching for its own CBO (Chief Beer Officer) to judge some of the best craft beer and win the ultimate “beercation” traveling to different hotels and sampling the local beer.

Courtyard by Marriott is holding its own promotion with the ultimate sports fan prize of spending the night in the Super Bowl stadium the night before the big game. These are just a few of the many free travel-related contests available this fall.
