Hulu’s ‘Ramy’ Sets Season 3 Premiere

Hulu’s Ramy has set a season three premiere date. The season is set to premiere on September 30. The series was renewed for a third season in July 2020.

The series stars Ramy Youssef as Ramy Hassan, a first-generation Egyptian American living in New Jersey. Season three is set to have ten episodes which will simultaneously drop.

In the new season, Ramy’s family will be forced to consider their reliance on worldly concerns while Ramy abandons his spiritual journey to work in his uncle’s diamond business. Ramy has consistently received praise for its realistic portrayal of Muslim Americans and Islam.

The series stars Youssef, Laith Nakli, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Dave Merheje, Mohammed Amer and Steve Way. It was previously announced that Bella Hadid will also appear in a recurring role in the third season. Hulu has not yet released a trailer for the new season.

The show has been met with high accolades, including multiple Golen Globe nominations and one win for Youssef. The show also won a Peabody Award and the Episodic Audience Award at SXSWXSW
. Ramy season two premiered May 29, 2020, making season three long-awaited for fans.

Ramy is written, directed, executive-produced, and created by Youssef. Adel Kamal, A24, Christopher Storer, Tyson Bidner, Amir Sulaiman, Jerrod Carmichael, co-creators Ari Katcher, Ryan Welch and Kate Thulin also serve as executive producers. A24 produces the series.

Youssef is also set to premiere a new show for Amazon Prime.
