Wong successfully tweaked a part of the app. Hence enabling users to receive tips in Bitcoin or in fiat from Venmo including few other payment platforms. But those payment options didn’t include the second-largest cryptocurrency. However, Wong devised a way to integrate one anyways.

Wonk in a statement to a media firm said that the feature was present since September. Though it wasn’t readily available till that time. Wong said she did her “magic.” And added the address to her tip jar. She also added that she tinkers around the Twitter app internals.

Earlier, the Twitter tipping feature was only limited to iOS users. However, now you will find the option: “On both iOS and Android you will find the Tips feature on the main Twitter profile under the icon.”

Cut to present, the richest man in the world, Elon Musk signed Twitter’s acquisition deal. According to which, Musk was going to purchase USD 54.20 per Twitter share in a transaction valued at around USD 44 billion. However, Musk called off the deal due to bot issues. Since the beginning of the deal, Musk demanded accurate data regarding the percentage of bots on the platform. Twitter says that there are only 5% bots which constitute the user base of the platform. Musk doesn’t believe those numbers are true. Twitter in its effort to save the deal also filed a lawsuit against the billionaire alleging him of breaching the merger agreement.

Jack Dorsey, when Musk announced Twitter’s acquisition deal, gave a statement saying that he only trusts Twitter with Musk.
