Every New Movie You Can Stream This Weekend (Plus Trailers)

If you’re like me, then you have multiple subscriptions to several different streaming platforms—which are all constantly adding new movies. Which begs the question each successive weekend: Which one do I watch?

For me, it helps to have all of those new films in one place. So in this article, I’ll run through all the new movies available on the major streaming platforms this weekend, such as Netflix

TV+, and Paramount+. And I’ll include a trailer for each new film.

Senior Year – Netflix (May 13)

A high-school cheerleader falls into a coma before her prom. Twenty years later, she awakens and wants to return to high school to reclaim her status and become prom queen.

Bigger Than Africa – Netflix (May 13)

This documentary follows the trans-Atlantic slave trade route from West Africa to the US, Brazil and the Caribbean in an exploration of Yoruba culture.

Borrego – Netflix (May 14)

After witnessing a drug mule’s plane crash in the Borrego desert, Elly is kidnapped and forced on a dangerous journey to a remote drop-off point. With limited essentials and alone in the desert with her captor, desperation for survival takes hold as Elly risks her life to escape from his clutches before the trip turns deadly.

Old – HBO (May 13)

A thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly reducing their entire lives into a single day.

The Brass Teapot – Hulu (May 15)

A magical antique transforms a couple (Juno Temple, Michael Angarano) from hapless losers into instant winners. Each time they experience pain, the object fills with money.

Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room – Hulu (May 15)

This documentary explores the fall of the Enron Corporation, arguably the most shocking example of modern corporate corruption. The company is linked with several illegal schemes, including instigating the California energy crisis as a way to drive up utility prices at the expense of the average American. In a hyper-competitive environment, Enron traders resort to all kinds of underhanded dealings in order to make money at any cost and keep their high-paying jobs.

The Mountain Between Us – Hulu (May 15)

Stranded on a mountain after a tragic plane crash, two strangers must work together to endure the extreme elements of the remote, snow-covered terrain. Realizing that help is not on the way, they embark on a perilous journey across hundreds of miles of wilderness, pushing each other to survive and discovering their inner strength.

One Last Thing – Hulu (May 15)

A lonely Florida dentist is confronted by a figure from the past bringing news that sends him on an eventful journey of discovery.

Sneakerella – Disney+ (May 13)

After falling in love with Kira King, the daughter of basketball star and sneaker tycoon Darius King, an aspirant Queens sneaker designer gains the confidence to pursue his dream of becoming a professional sneaker designer with the help of his best friend, Sami, and his Fairy Godfather.

Firestarter – Peacock (May 13)

A couple desperately try to hide their daughter, Charlie, from a shadowy federal agency that wants to harness her unprecedented gift for turning fire into a weapon of mass destruction. Her father taught her how to defuse her power, but as Charlie turns 11, the fire becomes harder and harder to control. When a mysterious operative finally finds the family, he tries to seize Charlie once and for all — but she has other plans.
