Employees Resign Following Elon Musk’s Ultimatum Proposal

Elon Musk

The richest billionaire in the world, Elon Musk, is making new changes on Twitter. As soon as Elon Musk became the CEO of Twitter, he made a lot of changes to the platform. His new actions on Twitter are making employees go wild.

The analytics are criticizing him for his new beginning on the platform. The lawmakers of the United States are also disappointed in Elon Musk’s new changes to the platform. They stated that these changes may have an impact on Twitter users’ safety and security.

Due to mass layoffs and resignations, Twitter’s office remained closed on Monday. It is going to reopen on Monday, November 21st. Three days ago, the Twitter CEO sent an email to sign up for long hours at high intensity or leave the company. This decision caused a large number of employees to resign from the company. Before Elon Musk took control of Twitter as CEO, the platform had more than 7,500 employees.

“Hundreds of Twitter employees appeared to have decided to separate with three months of severance pay.”

Elon Musk’s new “ultimatum” commitment had caused a large number of Twitter employees to leave the platform. On Wednesday, Musk announced that the employees would have to work extra to make profits. He said that he doesn’t want to go bankrupt, so he wants the employees to work overnight. He told the employees to work 80-hour weeks and to end the work from home policies.

Recently, Musk removed 50% of the employees from the company for further growth. He noted some of the employees are unnecessary for the entity, so he sent mail to the employees who were terminated from their roles.

The chaos on Twitter is increasing continuously. This morning, Elon Musk arranged a meeting to discuss the current scenario with the employees, but the employees’ reaction was unacceptable. They left the meeting as Musk started speaking about the resignation of employees.

“In one of those meetings, some employees were summoned to a conference room in the San Francisco office while others called in via videoconference.”

Musk tweeted on Thursday morning that there was no need to worry because the best people would stay regardless.

Musk stated that Twitter loses $4 million (USD) per day. He noticed that popular corporate companies have stopped advertising on the platform, even though nothing has changed with content moderation on Twitter. As per the reports, the platform earns 90% of the company’s revenue from advertisers.
