Week 2 of the mid-stakes Cash Game World Championship has wrapped up on CoinPoker – the best online poker site for crypto and real money gambling.
The month-long poker event kicked off on June 1, featuring over $50,000 in guaranteed player prizes and an exclusive Rolex worth $15,000 up for grabs for the overall winner.
Let’s break down three of the wildest hands from the week: one hero call, one insane bluff, and one total meltdown.
Hand 1: HazesLip’s Bold Nine-High Hero Call
First up: one of the best hero calls you’ll see this year — it won the Fan Vote for Sickest Hand of CGWC Week 2.
HazesLip, a Dutch regular, found himself in a brutal spot in a three-bet pot. Facing a small check-raise on the flop, he decided to float with nine-high and a backdoor draw, likely thinking his opponent wasn’t representing much.
The turn brings a flush draw and HazesLip calls a small bet.
By the river, the draw missed, the board paired, and his opponent jammed for about half the pot. HazesLip tanked, thought it through, and called all-in with nine-high, realistically only beating 56 suited.
What did his opponent have? Exactly 56 suited. Call correct. $1,000 in his pocket for winning Sickest Hand of the Week plus a lucrative ticket to CoinPoker’s exclusive seven-handed VIP game – scheduled to take place every Sunday.
Hand 2: Tuitamo’s Insane Bluff with Pocket Sixes
Next up, it’s TomPokerNL — a tournament streamer who decided to test his skills in the mid-stakes cash games.
In this hand, Tom barreled flop, turn, and river for massive sizings, trying to blast his opponent off any weak holdings on a draw-heavy board.
Enter Tuitamo, with nothing but pocket sixes. Facing a river overbet, Tuitamo didn’t just call – he jammed over the top for $160 more, representing straights, sets, or slowplayed overpairs.
And what did Tom have? Top pair, king kicker. King-nine.
And he folded.
Tuitamo then showed the bluff with pocket sixes, proving once again: some crypto poker players have zero fear.
Hand 3: Signum’s Total Meltdown: Bluffing Into Quads
In this final wild hand, Signum opens from the cutoff with Jack-Two offsuit — a loose open, but perhaps sensing that BJPCoin (Bobby James) and the others aren’t defending enough. Plus, with fewer players at the table, wide opens become more tempting.
The flop falls Queen-Four-Three – three checks all around.
The turn pairs the board with another Three. Now Signum tries to take control with a chunky delayed continuation bet. Bobby James just calls, slow-playing his hand.
The river brings a King. Signum keeps the story going, firing a small overbet, trying to force folds from middling pairs or missed draws.
But Bobby James has been trapping with quad Threes all along. Of course, he rips it all in. Signum, caught with nothing but Jack high, can only fold as Bobby flips over quads and drags a huge pot.
