The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has warned that 143 entities are operating in the country without its permission, adding them to a list that includes HTX and KuCoin, two global exchanges. The FCA’s announcement also stated that the exchanges may be promoting financial services or products without permission and urged people to avoid dealing with them. The warning comes after the FCA’s financial promotion regime for crypto assets took effect on October 8. Unregistered crypto asset firms have four routes to lawfully communicate crypto asset promotions within the UK, including being authorized by the FCA or approved by an authorized person.
