According to Santiment, a leading on-chain analytical platform, Ethereum’s ETH and Solana’s SOL are the top two altcoins seeing the highest buzz on social media.
Per the platform’s analysis, ETH is trending for a myriad of reasons across different social media platforms, including Reddit. Market players are collectively recounting their experiences with scams involving fake crypto wallets where users are tricked into sending Ether tokens.
Meanwhile, on Telegram, Ethereum is making rounds in discourse centering its position as a leading smart contract platform with rising interest in staking, NFTs, DeFi, Layer 2 solutions, institutional adoption, along with other price movements and ecosystem expansion. However, on Twitter, Ethereum’s 10th anniversary has been widely celebrated within different communities.
 
Solana (SOL) is another altcoin trending at this time, with increased discussions about the Solana blockchain network making rounds across multiple social media channels.
As Santiment wrote, “Key factors include significant staking activities by ARK Invest, large treasury purchases of SOL tokens, and its involvement in DeFi and NFT projects.”
Regulatory developments are also a key topic of conversation, as market participants speak extensively on the U.S. SEC delaying the Grayscale Solana Spot ETF decision to October 2025, Institutional interest with ARK Invest and Invesco Galaxy filing for Solana ETFs, and comparisons to Ethereum and Base.
Like ETH, market players are expressing concerns about scams involving Solana wallets and upcoming decentralized exchange launches, as they have observed strong financial crypto relevance.
