“On behalf of the Board of Directors and the executive leadership team, I want to extend our sincerest gratitude to Ashwin for his many valuable contributions, especially for his efforts during Voyager’s restructuring process,” stated the CEO of Voyager.
The CFO of Voyager Digital Ltd had announced that he was going to resign from the post after a “transition period” to pursue other opportunities in his career. And the Voyager CEO, Stephen Ehrlich, is going to handle the tasks during this interim period. Ashwin Prithipaul joined Voyager with leadership experience in financing platforms as the former CFO of Galaxy Digital.
In a recent interview, the CEO of Voyager stated that “New risks will emerge from time to time. It may not be possible for our organization to predict all the upcoming risks, nor can the organization assess the impact of all factors on the business. ”
Stephen Ehrlich made a huge amount of profit by selling the digital assets of Voyager during the months of February and March 2021. But the company faced bankruptcy in July 2022, which led to a huge amount of loss to the company. As crypto prices went down by more than 70%, Voyager faced losses including, Stablecoin and Terra.
In the middle of July, the Voyager Digital crypto asset platform refused to accept the offer from crypto exchange platforms like FTX and Almeda due to the ongoing bankruptcy process of both of the firms. Besides that, the other crypto exchange platforms, Binance and FTX, offer huge amounts of bids that cost up to $50 million (USD) to Voyager. The results of the auction are expected to be announced at the end of September.
Voyager is a type of firm that can provide a platform “to bring choice, transparency, and cost-efficiency” to the marketplace. In addition to that, it offers a safe and secure way to trade more than 100 varieties of digital assets by utilizing its simple mobile application.
Stephen also added that “The users being cautioned on the basis of past performance is not indicative of future performance and current trends in the business and demand for digital assets may not continue and users should not put undue reliance on past performance and current trends.”
