The Solana price surged by 6% on Friday to reclaim the key psychological level of $200 amid a wave of new SOL ETF filings.
Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, Grayscale, Canary, and VanEck have all filed updated S-1 amendments with the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. CoinShares has also updated the S-1 filing for its Solana staking ETF.
With the final deadline for multiple applications set for October 16, 2025, experts anticipate the SEC will approve a spot Solana ETF within the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, the Solana price securing a weekly and monthly close above $206 would invalidate several bearish scenarios, confirming that the uptrend remains intact. But is SOL the best altcoin to buy now?
Solana Price Prediction: How High Can SOL Go In 2025?
The Solana price is currently at a knife’s edge, and the upcoming weekly close could decide its trajectory for the rest of the year.

The imminent spot Solana ETFs are also expected to provide fresh legs to the SOL rally. Notably, REX Shares and Osprey Funds’ Solana staking ETF, $SSK, is on a two-week inflow streak, adding $10.6 million on Friday.
The strong demand for a 40-Act ETF signals a healthy appetite for regulated investment products and bodes well for the upcoming 33-Act ETFs, which offer more flexibility and direct market exposure.
However, investors should buy after a weekly close above the $206 resistance.
