Ripple’s XRP jumped 31% on Sunday when President Trump announced a U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve that will include XRP.

This move marks a pivotal moment for XRP, potentially setting the stage for huge further gains. The fact that Ripple’s XRP is officially part of a U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve takes the risk out of XRP and opens it up for new investors. It means that the many XRP Spot ETF applications will be approved later in 2025. 

However, as market dynamics continue to evolve, investors are closely monitoring both bullish and bearish factors that could influence XRP’s trajectory in the coming weeks.

Breaking Barriers: The Significance of $2.25

The $2.25 level represents both psychological and technical resistance for XRP. The resistance has long been the driver of market sentiment, leading to either prolonged breakouts or reversals. With XRP having broken through this level with immense strength, the bulls appear to be gaining ground.

Analysts point out that maintaining a position above $2.25 could lay the groundwork for XRP to test the next major levels of resistance near $3.40.

“Bouncing above $2.25 would be a very good indication that the bulls are returning,” a market analyst commented. “If the breakout succeeds, then we may see XRP looking to reach its highs beforehand, the next big one being $3.”

With news today that XRP will be included the  U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve, iit is now certain the SEC will settle with Ripple.

Legal expert James Murphy speculated on the matter, stating, “Ripple could be negotiating with the SEC to vacate some of the rulings before settlement.” If the SEC withdraws its appeal, it could open doors for institutional adoption and even XRP-spot ETFs.”
