Earlier this month, Canadian rapper Drake announced his partnership with crypto currency gaming operator Stake.com on his social media. He has now announced that he will host a livestream in honor of that partnership, which will include an interactive giveaway.
Drake x Stake
The news of the rapper and operator partnership is one of the gaming company’s biggest deals so far. The rapper, who is known for his longstanding relationship with crypto currency affairs, had long been a VIP member on the platform and had posted snapshots of him using Stake’s gambling services on his social media. The posts ranged from shots of poker rounds to pictures of his large-sized Super Bowl bets. The partnership grew from that “mutual appreciation between mega-star ad product” according to Stake’s webpage.
Stake has since dedicated a separate tab on their website which highlights the relationship between Drake and the gambling website, including a collection of his social media posts about the company. Drake has also promised to do a livestream where he will “play to win some real money and give it all to [his fans] because what’s better than sharing the love with my people”. No specific dates have been confirmed yet for such a livestream.
Drake Joins the Long List of Big Shot Partnerships
Though Drake might be the biggest all-around famous partnership for Stake, he is not the first big contract for the young crypto gaming operator. Since its creation in 2017, Stake has racked up partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as well as the Premier League team Watford FC, for whom they are the principal shirt sponsor.
The partnership with Watford FC came after Stake expanded their business into the British crypto currency gaming market in 2021. To celebrate their partnership with the soccer team, Stake hosted a 10 million Dogecoin giveaway, and the club has hinted at more offers along the way.
The brand has also become the first ever betting sponsor for the Ultimate Fighting Championship in Latin American and Asia. As the first official sportsbook in Latin America, Stake will have access to the 34 million UFC fans residing there. Specifically, Stake will play a big part in the UFC’s pay-per-view events, as well as provide exclusive VIP betting offers.
