Pro-Crypto Donald Trump Leads Harris In National Poll But There’s A Catch

Former President Donald Trump has taken a significant lead in a national poll against Vice President Kamala Harris as the 2024 U.S. presidential election draws closer. The poll, conducted by Rasmussen Reports from August 8-14, shows Trump leading Harris by 4%. The poll showed 49% of likely voters favoring Trump compared to 45% for Harris.

Donald Trump Vs. Kamala Harris In National Poll

This poll is a notable boost for Donald Trump, who has been actively campaigning and leveraging his strong pro-crypto stance to appeal to a broader voter base. Rasmussen Reports, known for their accurate predictions in the 2016 and 2020 elections, conducted the survey with a sample size of 1,885 likely voters.

However, despite this apparent lead, prediction markets such as Polymarket present a different story. On Polymarket, Harris is favored to win the election with a 51% probability, while Trump’s chances are pegged at 47%. This divergence between traditional polling and prediction markets highlights the uncertainty of the current political space.

Earlier, Trump and Harris tied on Polymarket for a brief period. Whilst, VP Harris has gained significant support from the crypto community despite backlash on Crypto For Harris town hall. Meanwhile, Trump continues to diss Harris on social media to strengthen his voter base.

Pro-crypto candidate Trump’s recent posts on social media, particularly on Truth Social and X (formerly known as Twitter), underscore his aggressive approach to campaigning. In a post on Truth Social, he launched a scathing attack on Harris, labeling her as a “communist.” Additionally, Trump claiming that Harris’ leadership would lead to the rapid decline of the United States. He stated:

“Comrade Kamala Harris is terrible for our Country. She is a Communist, has always been a Communist, and will always be a Communist. Under her ‘leadership,’ the USA will fail, and fail quickly. We will not let that happen!!!”

On X, Donald Trump highlighted issues related to immigration, criticizing the Biden administration for a significant surge in illegal immigration. According to a chart shared by Trump, the number of illegal immigrants has increased to over 300,000 under Biden’s tenure.

This marks a 1,833% surge compared to nearly 15,000 when Trump left office in 2020. He also accused Harris of putting “violent illegals—convicted felons back onto the streets,” signaling his intention to make immigration a central theme of his campaign.

Elon Musk In The Political Scene

Amidst the political drama, tech billionaire Elon Musk has also entered the fray, adding his voice to the ongoing discourse. Musk has shown support for Donald Trump in the past, has been active on X. Moreover, Musk continues critizing Harris by spotlighting posts critical of the Democratic Party.

Recently, he highlighted a post by a Dogecoin graphic designer claiming that AI models like ChatGPT and MetaAI suggest that the Democratic Party controls the legacy media. Musk’s involvement in the political conversation extends beyond social media.

In a high-profile interview with pro-crypto Trump on X last week, Musk proposed the formation of a “government efficiency commission” and expressed a willingness to participate. Trump acknowledged this proposal with interest, potentially indicating a future collaboration between the two.
