- The crypto web browser, Opera is planning to integrate Elrond blockchain into its platform and digital wallet.
- The following integration will facilitate Opera users with the direct access of decentralized applications (dApps).
Crypto Integration on Opera
Opera crypto browser will integrate Elrond blockchain service for its more than 300 million users, which will help them to own the direct access of dApps and other popular services by the integrated Opera wallet.
Elrond blockchain provides infrastructure services for dApps, enterprise use-cases and the latest internet economy. With the help of this blockchain adoption by Opera, Elrond will become one of the fastest and most efficient blockchain networks.
After completion of the integration, Opera users can access the Elrond Standard Digital Token (ESDT) and EGLD tokens. The users can see seamless transactions and boost the security.
Danny Yao, Senior Product Manager at Opera, stated “Our aim is to be an understandable and secure entry point to Web3 for anyone interested in crypto. This also means we have provided a wallet selector feature that lets our users choose which wallet they want to use to interact with a particular DApp.”
He further added that Opera is actively engaging a multichain policy, and integrated Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polygon, and BNB Chain earlier.
Yao also explained about the growing security vulnerabilities among DApps and added “We have provided a wallet selector feature that lets our users choose which wallet they want to use to interact with a particular DApp. We also have a secure clipboard, safeguarding our user’s data as they copy-paste sensitive data such as wallet addresses or bank account numbers.”
The following partnership between two Web3 platforms may set an example for similar integrations in the near future and turn the focus towards environmental, social and the governance concerns in the crypto ecosystem.
