Iranian Hackers, Labor Unions, Bombscare And ‘Crypto Burgers’ Are Reshaping U.S. Election 2024

The U.S. elections are less than two months away and it seems voters are not the only ones determining the fate of America. The FBI and ODNI report has revealed that sensitive data from Donald Trump’s election campaign was hacked by Iranian hackers and sent to the big shots in the Biden-Harris election campaign. While the content of these data remains unknown, Iran has denied the claims stating they were “devoid” of any proof and

Iran neither has any motive nor intent to interfere in the U.S. election.

Whether the Biden-Harris campaigns have utilized this data is still kept in the dark. What is known is that the cybercriminals had also reached a few media outlets to sell the data.

Kamala Harris continues to face challenges in the current election campaign as the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a labor union in the U.S. and Canada, are in two minds. While the national leader of Teamsters Sean M. O’Brien has so far kept a neutral stance, the West Coast chapter continues to endorse Harris. However, polling within the union indicates strong backing for Trump, underlining the split among working-class voters.

To make matters more heated, the bomb scare has also tagged along with the U.S. election rallies of Trump in New York. Just a few days after what seemed like a second assassination attempt on Trump, news of bombs being found in a car was reported at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on September 18. However, a Nassau County Police spokesperson busted the myth and denied claims of any bomb being found. Trump is under intense pressure even as he leads the race as his rival Kamala Harris is slowly closing the gap between their positions.

Despite the side-by-side competition, the former president does not seem to have lacked his cheer and continues to face his opponent with a green from ear to ear. This might be due to the favoritism he enjoys from crypto-enthusiasts. On Wednesday, the former President treated patrons of PubKey, a New York City bar to burgers and beers by using Bitcoin as a method of payment, becoming the first president in the history of the United States to pay with cryptocurrency. He pointed at the camera and dubbed the burgers ‘crypto burgers’. Whether the Republican candidate would win another term is still uncertain, but one thing seems straight- he certainly knows how to turn the tide when it comes to campaigning!
