According to CNBC, Google’s cloud unit is working on a team to create services for developers who are bringing together their own Web3 and operating blockchain applications.
The Vice president and head of the Google Cloud, Amit Zavery, reached out to his employees via an email informing them that the focus of this initiative is to make the Google Cloud platform the choice on priority for developers in the space.
He highlighted that while the world is still early in the adoption of Web3, it is a market that is already proving to be with tremendous potential with several customers asking them to increase their Web3 and crypto-related tech support.
The Vice President further signified that the new Web3 team would comprise folks who have been indulged with the concept internally and on their own. A former Citigroup executive James Tromans who became a part of Google in 2019 would lead the engineering group and the product.
Zavery highlighted that they are not trying to be a part of the crypto wave directly. They are providing technologies for companies to utilize and take advantage of the distributed nature of Web3 in their present enterprises and businesses.
Earlier in January, Google Cloud rolled out a new dedicated Virtual assets team to take care of customers’ needs in transacting, building, storing value, and deploying new products on platforms based on blockchain.
More and more entities are quite optimistic regarding the potential of Web3 and blockchain technology. It is to look forward to how blockchain technology would facilitate the entities in the future and how it would emerge with its use cases.
