In a Reddit post, scammers attempted to lure users by claiming, “Hey traders! The crew at [name omitted] is excited to offer you a cracked TradingView Premium with lifetime access—totally free! We’ve bypassed the license walls to unlock every premium feature for your charting needs. Whether you’re scalping crypto, swinging stocks, or mapping forex, this is your free pass to pro tools.”

However, these malware programs are capable of stealing users’ wallet funds and personal data. Hackers are using the cracked version of the popular trading platform TradingView as bait to trick cryptocurrency users into downloading and installing malicious software. Once installed, the malware operates secretly, stealing digital assets and personal information without the victim’s knowledge.

Malwarebytes has warned cryptocurrency users to remain vigilant and avoid downloading software from untrusted sources, particularly “cracked” applications.

Yu Jian, the founder of SlowMist, also retweeted the post, adding, “Cryptocurrency users should beware of Trojans disguised as cracked versions of TradingView!”

Scammers are increasingly using innovative methods to lure users. Recently, several fake Microsoft Teams websites pushing malware were discovered. Interacting with these sites poses serious risks, including data breaches, credential theft, session hijacking, and wallet draining. As a result, it’s crucial for users to verify the authenticity of sources before downloading or installing software.
