Crypto Prices Bounce as Trump Plans White House Meeting With Iran

The ongoing Middle East conflict has taken another sharp turn, with US President Donald Trump now indicating that a deal with Iran could still be on the cards. 

In a series of responses to White House reporters, Trump indicated that he doesn’t want to get involved in the Israel-Iran conflict, especially if the latter agrees to shut down its nuclear weapons program. 

In another bombshell revelation, Trump claimed that Iranian representatives are seeking a meeting with him at the White House, a proposal he may be open to. Now, The New York Times reports that a senior Iranian government official has confirmed their willingness to meet Trump at the White House.

The US President has recently adopted a harsh stance against the Middle Eastern nation, claiming that Iran was a few weeks away from obtaining nuclear weapons. 

Just today, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had approved military strikes against Iran but held back from issuing the final order.

However, he has also indicated that it isn’t too late to get an agreement with Iran, contrary to what he told reporters on Tuesday. 

If Trump extends an invitation to Iranian representatives to visit the White House and negotiate a deal, it could serve as a major catalyst for risk assets, with crypto prices likely to benefit the most.

Indeed, several market indicators suggest the Israel-Iran conflict may be nearing a short-term resolution. For example, crude oil prices remain subdued, a sign that markets are pricing in a de-escalation rather than a prolonged confrontation.

With the Federal Reserve confirming two rate cuts this year in its latest dot plot and the global liquidity continuing to soar, crypto prices are on the cusp of a major upside move. Altcoins like SPX, SEI and WLD are already front-running the rally.
