Carl Runefelt promotes crypto in multimillion F2 sponsorship deal

Entrepreneur, crypto investor, and TheMoon Group founder Carl Runefelt announced his official partnership with Formula 2 driver Ralph Boschung, Invezz learned from a press release. An avid fan of racing, Runefelt’s multimillion-dollar sponsorship puts his name “The Moon” at the forefront of Formula 2.

Donations for disabled children

Runefelt and Boschung will collect crypto donations for disabled children at each one of the 14 upcoming F2 races in the season 2022. They will be doing this through a QR code, which is very hard, if not impossible to miss.

The code is printed not only on the car itself (on the nose), but is also available at carlrunefelt.com/racing4charity. All of the funds raised will go directly to a selected charity project.

When asked about the sponsorship opportunity, Runefelt replied:

Bringing mass crypto adoption is my goal for 2022. Not only do I wish to bring more awareness to crypto but also child disabilities. Formula 2 gives me a platform for both subjects that are near and dear to my heart. Crypto has built my wealth over the years, which has allowed me to make major donations to foundations that help children with major disabilities such as Down Syndrome, which my little brother has.

He added:

Bringing these two worlds together, I know I can help the world a little bit. I 100% believe in Ralph, as we are very good friends with a similar mindset.

The crypto racing car was unveiled in Valencia, Spain. Its first race will be in Bahrain on 18.03.2022. The race will continue until 20.03.2022.

About Ralph Boschung

Ralph Boschung is a Swiss racing driver who is competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Campos Racing. He won in the GP3 Series. Between 2017 and 2020, he competed in Formula 2 for Campos, MP Motorsport and Trident. He is entering his fifth season in F2 this year, which will also be his third with Campos.

In November last year, Campos announced that Boschung would be remaining with the team for the 2022 campaign, partnering new Alpine junior Olli Caldwell.
