BitBoy Crypto Drops Lawsuit Against Atozy; Declares Him Winner

Atozy

Ben Armstrong who goes by the name BitBoy Crypto on Youtube disclosed that he is filing a lawsuit against Erling Mengshoel Jr. aka Atozy, also a Youtube creator.

On August 12, Armstrong officially filed the suit against Mengshoel Jr. in response to Atozy’s video titled “This YouTuber scams his fans… Bitboy Crypto.” The video alleges Bitboy crypto of promoting fake assets for his own advantage. As part of the lawsuit, Armstrong was demanding $75,000 in damages over the ordeal.

But in turn of events, Armstrong in a live stream on August 24 said he is taking his complaint back since Mengshoel Jr. has successfully managed to raise more than $200,000 for his defense.

Atozy Raises $100,000 to Fight the Court Filing

Armstrong says his main aim with the complaint was to get Mengshoel Jr. to take the video down. He didn’t want to go through the court proceedings. The crypto Youtber says the dispute has gone further than he intended as Atozy has now enough to cover legal costs with well-known crypto personalities such as Cobie (Jordan Fish) donating $100,000 to the cause.

In the livestream, Bitboy said that he is going to drop the lawsuit. And, he is sorry that the matter came out to the public and was misconstrued. He said it was not about a “slapstick lawsuit.”

Further, Armstrong says it’s a very serious matter when someone threatens that you could be in trouble from the SEC. The youtuber said all he wanted was Atozy to remove the video with wrong information in it.

Atozy’s video is still up with approx. 190,000 views, as of this writing. In his livestream Bitboy also requested Mengshoel Jr to edit the offending parts. At the end, Armstrong declared that Atozy has “won.”

Meanwhile, Atozy said that the matter hasn’t been resolved yet since he is still waiting for the official confirmation from his lawyers on the dismissal of the complaint.
