Binance Pay Brings Crypto Payments to 80 Riviera Hotspots, Offers EURI Rewards to Tourists

TLDR:

  • Binance Pay now accepted at over 80 Riviera venues including hotels, shops, and restaurants.
  • Tourists spending €20+ earn 5 EURI; French users spending €50+ can claim USDC vouchers.
  • Cannes launch coincides with Ethereum Community Conference and tourism season.
  • Gas-free, real-time crypto payments aim to normalize digital currencies in everyday travel.

Crypto payments are taking root in the heart of the French Riviera, as Binance Pay expands to 80 local merchants

The integration allows tourists and residents to spend stablecoins and major cryptocurrencies for everything from beachside lunches to luxury hotel stays. With the rollout, Binance is positioning Cannes as a key example of real-world crypto adoption.

This launch aligns with local government support and growing interest from businesses in modernizing payment options. The initiative also introduces a reward program offering users EURI stablecoins when using Binance Pay.

Binance Pay Unlocks Crypto Spending in Cannes

From June 28 to July 6, visitors to Cannes can pay with over 100 supported cryptocurrencies at participating venues using the Binance app.

A minimum spend of €20 unlocks a 5 EURI reward, limited to 1,999 users. The EURI stablecoin, backed by the euro and compliant with MiCA regulations, is credited directly to users’ Binance wallets.

Participating locations range from high-end hotels like JW Marriott and Hôtel Mondrian to popular eateries and beach clubs.

Businesses such as restaurants, gyms, and marine services across Cannes and nearby cities like Nice and Antibes now support crypto payments thanks to Binance’s partnership with local fintech firm Lyzi.

Binance France CEO David Princay said the collaboration between merchants and authorities reflects a shift toward crypto as a regular payment tool. By offering instant, gas-free payments with no conversion fees, Binance Pay aims to make transactions easier for crypto holders.

Among those joining the program are Art in Time, La Banane, and Multi Art Gallery in Monaco, along with retail shops and pharmacies. Transportation services, including chauffeur and yacht rental companies, also now accept crypto payments, offering visitors a complete digital experience.

French Users Earn More with USDC Vouchers

In addition to the EURI promotion, Binance is running a separate campaign for users across France.

Between June 10 and July 10, customers spending €50 or more via Binance Pay become eligible for up to 20 USDC in vouchers. A total of 19,000 USDC has been allocated for the program, encouraging broader participation.

To qualify, users must verify their Binance accounts and complete eligible purchases in-store or online. This effort supports France’s growing crypto economy by rewarding digital-savvy consumers beyond Cannes.

The Cannes launch adds a new stop to Binance Pay’s global rollout, which spans cities from Buenos Aires to Bhutan. As the city hosts the Ethereum Community Conference from June 30 to July 3, the campaign highlights how crypto can integrate with tourism, commerce, and events.

This initiative shows that stablecoin adoption is growing beyond digital platforms and entering everyday experiences. With local support and expanding access, the French Riviera may become a blueprint for other regions eyeing crypto adoption.
