Andrew Tate’s DADDY Solana meme coin has spiked 78% after news that he’s boarded a private jet with his brother Tristan Tate to fly from Romania to Florida, according to the BBC.
It’s the first time he’s been allowed to leave the country since his arrest in 2022. As this news spread, his Solana meme coin has climbed to a $38.7 million market cap in just 10 hours.
Tate’s apparent freedom—while he awaits the conclusion of his criminal case in Romania—comes after Donald Trump’s administration applied pressure on Romanian authorities last week to lift travel restrictions on the controversial influencer, according to the Financial Times.
Andrew Tate did not immediately respond to Decrypt’s request for comment.

It comes after the Donald Trump’s administration reportedly made multiple attempts to pressurise Romania to lift travel restrictions on Andrew and Tristan Tate.

The brothers were arrested in December 2022, charged with human trafficking, sexual misconduct and money laundering, as well as starting an organised crime group in Romania. They have denied all charges and, until now, have either been in custody, under house arrest, or had their travel restricted to the Ilfov County region.
Last year, the self-proclaimed misogynist started publicly endorsing meme coins. The most popular of the bunch was Daddy Tate (DADDY), as he was looking to “flip it for the patriarchy” in response to Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea’s MOTHER token achieving notable success. In June, the ex-kickboxer’s dream came true when DADDY flipped MOTHER.
A month later, Andrew gloated that his travel ban had been lifted within the EU, claiming that he would do a “global tour” for the DADDY meme coin. He floated the idea of visiting Tokyo, Dubai, and Miami—despite him not being able to leave the EU. Unsurprisingly, this world tour never happened and the travel ban lift was overturned.
Earlier this month, the Financial Times reported that U.S. officials mentioned the Tates’ case to the Romanian government on a phone call. Later, Trump sent an envoy to meet with the Romanian foreign minister Emil Hurezeanu. The minister later confirmed on Romanian TV that the envoy brought up the brothers, although he did not see this as a “form of pressure.”
On Thursday, Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) issued a statement regarding two defendants of dual U.S.-British citizenships with media interest surrounding them—which many believe to be the Tate brothers.
He said that prosecutors have lifted the travel ban, but insists that the criminal proceedings will continue.
As such, the DADDY meme coin soared 78% in the past 12 hours from a market cap of $22.1 million to $38.7 million, according to DexScreener.
The British women that accused Andrew Tate of rape and human trafficking responded to this news by telling the Mail Online that they are in “disbelief and feel retraumatised by the news.”
Two women not involved in the Romanian case against the brothers gave the BBC detailed accounts of alleged rape and sexual violence by Andrew Tate. This included a text from Andrew saying “I love raping you” as well as voice notes about sexual assault and violence.
Still, the Daddy Tate X community celebrates their leader’s apparent freedom. But even if the misogynistic influencer makes it to the end of his trial in Romania without a prison sentence, there’s also a British arrest warrant out for him regarding rape and sexual assault charges as well as a civil claim of tax evasion in the UK.
