Will Memecoins On Binance Smart Chain Outpace Solana’s Blockchain?

Binance Smart Chain (BSC) showed rising prominence in transaction volume after recently outpacing Solana leading in transaction volume over both the past 24 hours and the last 7 days.

BSC saw robust activity across decentralized applications (DApps). For instance, BSC’s weekly volume was at $374.5 Million.

Its 24-hour volume was $213.9 Million. However, Solana’s figures, which, while strong, are now trailing behind.

This shift marks a significant milestone, as Solana has long been a leader in meme coin transaction throughput due to its high-speed, low-cost infrastructure.

BSC’s ability to handle 57,216 tokens created on its platform, with 8,712 launched in a single day, denoted its growing capacity and appeal for meme coin activity.

Network fees on BSC surpass Ethereum’s, averaging higher profitability.

BSC is positioning itself as a cost-effective alternative, potentially drawing more meme coin traders and developers away from Solana.

CZ Hints at AI-Driven Projects with Four.Meme on BSC

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the former CEO of Binance and a prominent figure in the crypto space, is actively steering BSC toward new heights, particularly through AI-driven initiatives.

CZ’s involvement was noted by his reference to a video tutorial on DeFiLlama that showed how to create AI agents on the BNB Chain.

This push was part innovation within BSC, with Four.Meme emerging as a key platform mirroring Solana’s Pump.fun—a platform renowned for its role in launching memecoins rapidly.

Four.Meme’s will be BSC’s answer to Pump.fun, with CZ hinting at AI-driven projects that could revolutionize memecoin creation and trading.

Four.Meme has facilitated the creation of 57,216 tokens, with 29,669 developers active on the platform, including 5,092 who created tokens related to the “Broccoli” meme inspired by CZ’s dog.

This ecosystem, bolstered by CZ’s public endorsements and interactions like his tweet about Broccoli on February 13, 2025.

It saw 22,075 active addresses peak, suggests BSC is building a memecoin infrastructure that could rival Solana’s.

However, BSC lacks a “wealth effect” comparable to Solana’s meme boom. TST, BSC’s largest memecoin, has a market cap under $100 Million.

That is far below Solana’s daily trading turnover of over $100 Million for its top meme coins.

Binance Heavily Listing BSC-Based Tokens

Binance’s strategic focus on is BSC-based tokens since the beginning of 2025.

That is another driver behind its potential to challenge Solana in the memecoin space.

Binance has listed 10 BSC tokens via Binance Alpha (19.23% of its listings).

It launched 5 BSC tokens (4 spot, 5 futures), with 3 being meme coins, accounting for 60% of these launches.

Leading this charge are TST and BROCCOLI, which were at the forefront of BSC’s “meme wars.”

TST, initially a test token from a Four.Meme tutorial video, saw its market cap climb to nearly $500,000 within hours of CZ’s accidental mention.

BROCCOLI, inspired by CZ’s dog, achieved a market cap of over $101 Million.

Despite this growth, TST’s market cap remains under $100 Million, and BROCCOLI, while impressive, still lags behind Solana’s top memecoins like WIF and BONK, which boast higher trading volumes and market caps.

However, with 110,649 total active addresses on BSC and Binance’s backing, there’s potential for these memecoins to gain further traction.

While BSC is showing remarkable growth, it still faces an uphill battle to outpace Solana’s established memecoin ecosystem.

However, BSC’s recent figures—$811K in fees over 7 days, 57,216 tokens created, and Binance’s strategic listings—indicate it’s gaining ground.

Whether BSC can produce a memecoin phenomenon on par with Solana’s remains uncertain, but the data and CZ’s influence suggest the competition is heating up in 2025.
