Crypto exchange KuCoin has signed a strategic memorandum with the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association (VBA) and 1Matrix to support the country’s national blockchain agenda.
The collaboration will focus on building secure platforms for digital asset trading, digital payments, and identity verification, aligning with Vietnam’s 2025–2030 blockchain strategy.
Building Core Infrastructure
The partnership plans to launch pilot trading platforms, blockchain-powered payment systems, electronic identity tools, and international-standard risk management frameworks. A key element will be a digital ID system designed to authenticate users while protecting transaction security.
Each group will contribute a specific role: KuCoin provides global expertise in tokenization and DeFi; 1Matrix manages local infrastructure; and VBA ensures regulatory alignment within Vietnam’s legal framework.
Beyond Trading
KuCoin emphasized that the effort goes beyond creating infrastructure. The initiative also seeks to introduce blockchain into logistics, finance, and trade while fostering education, startups, and community trust in the sector.
Vice President Damen Chen said KuCoin is committed to long-term collaboration, adding that the project aims to make Vietnam a “pivotal landmark on the global blockchain map.”
