Decentralized Social Collaboration Network, Zeek Raises $3M Seed Funding To Reinvent Social Reputation In Web3

A new decentralized social collaboration network, Zeek, has just completed a $3 million seed funding round to reinvent social reputation in Web3.

Top investors, including OKX Ventures, Animoca Brands, Mask Network Arche Fund, Summer Ventures, Blockchain Coinvestors, Aspen Digital, CatcherVC, Panony, Spacebar, Hardbank, and super angels, including Jason Kam of Folius Ventures, Ivan Li of Comma3 Ventures, and Donny Chi of WeMade supported the funding round.

Commenting on the support given to Zeek, Thanh Le, the Founder of Nighty Eight, said:

The funding round comes ahead of Zeek’s official launch in July. The project seeks to make it easier to do due diligence on the identities of Web3 users through its on-chain reputation construct, which recognizes users by the value they create through social collaboration.

Users can create social value by creating and participating in “Wishes” which can be used to expand their networks and connections or to seek out information and insight. They’ll then be rewarded with “Rizz” as they contribute and engage with content in the network.

This will naturally construct a social reputation layer for everyone and act as an on-chain recognition of the social value the user creates. The more value you create, the more Rizz you get as an economic incentive and measurable influence. 

That way, Zeek users can easily check a person’s reliability based on their built reputation, creating a whole new way to enforce trust in the Web3 world.

The project’s Private Beta will run until launch day, and users can pre-register via their X and Discord accounts. Later this month, Zeek will also drop its Tier-0 Genesis NFT collection, which is limited to 250.
