Chainlink and Anchorage Announce Blockchain Leadership Fund PAC

Chainlink Labs and Anchorage Digital announced that they are founding contributors to a hybrid political action committee (PAC) called Blockchain Leadership Fund to support candidates advancing digital asset and blockchain policies in the US. This PAC allows independent expenditures such as media buys in addition to direct contributions to candidates. The companies did not disclose contribution amounts; there are no fund inflows recorded in Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings between September-December 2025. The announcement came about seven months before the 2026 midterm elections, which will determine majority control in the House of Representatives and Senate and are critical for crypto legislation. Chainlink emphasized the need for ongoing industry support for candidates backing the CLARITY Act under discussion in the Senate. Anchorage CEO Nathan McCauley stated that he has held meetings with lawmakers on market structure legislation. In the 2024 elections, crypto-backed PACs spent hundreds of millions of dollars supporting pro-crypto candidates; similar PACs have amassed large funds for 2026.
