- The NFT collection will be the smallest collection from Yuga Labs, given 300 NFTs.
- Bitcoin managed to become NFT compatible following the Ordinal inscriptions upgrade.
- Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at 23,407, down by 5% in a week.
Bitcoin blockchain is likely to see yet another NFT collection since its Ordinals inscriptions upgrade. One of the largest non-fungible token creator companies, Yuga Labs, is taking the initiative this time. Though NFTs are digital artwork known for their uniqueness, the upcoming collection would be unique in several aspects.
The company is behind some of the popular NFTs collection wherein the space is now ready to explore another dimension with its first project on the largest cryptocurrency blockchain network. On Monday (add date), Yuga Labs announced Bitcoin Ordinal inscriptions based TwelveFold would be launched later this week. The company’s in-house art team created the NFT collection.
TwelveFold is going to be different from other Yuga Labs-created counterparts.
- Standard 12×12 grids-sized NFTs
- These will consist of both 3D graphics and hand-drawn features.
- The collection will not relate to Ethereum and NFTs based on the blockchain network.
Moreover, unlike other NFT collections with thousands of digital art pieces—BAYC has 10,000 NFTs for instance—TwelveFold will have only 300 NFTs. These tokens will also have no additional utilities or future interactions, just completely plain digital tokens.
The aforementioned features of the upcoming NFT collection are nothing like the previous collections of Yuga Labs. Yet it brings its own specialties, most prominent of all could be the tokens’ based on the Bitcoin blockchain network. Though it’s not the first time the blockchain network has had NFTs.
Earlier, the Ordinal protocol witnessed Ordinal Punks NFT collections. The collection was also successful; one of the tokens sold out for 9.5 tokens or about 214,000 USD. These tokens’ attributes resemble the popular NFT collection CryptoPunks, which is also part of Yuga Labs NFTs territory.
The 4 billion USD valued company is a big name within the NFT space. It is known for some most prominent non-fungible token collections, including Bored Ape Yacht Collection (BAYC), its spin-off Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), and virtual land on the upcoming metaverse game Otherside.’ Larva Labs created CryptoPunks, and Meebits also came under the company’s umbrella following the purchasing of its IP rights last year.
