 
 
Ripple’s XRP kicked off the week on a bullish note and is igniting it in an upward trajectory, as evidenced by its performance over the last 7 days.
The 3rd most valued cryptocurrency by market cap has been on a recovery path that has most recently led to a weekly close above other top competitors.
More particularly, XRP has outperformed the apex cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and the second most valued asset, Ether.
Korean market analyst took to X to share the newly attained milestone with market players. Notably, XRP’s trading volume surpassed Bitcoin’s and Ether’s following the arrival of Korean retail traders.
As the analyst wrote;
 
“XRP is now officially higher in volume than Bitcoin and Ethereum combined. The Korean retail is kicking in. They’re angry. They want more. They’re back. Side note, this isn’t even remotely close to the volume we had back in December. This is just beginning.”
Data from CoinMarketCap validates the analysts’ observation as XRP’s trading volume over the last 24 hours sits above 11%, while Bitcoin and Ether sustained gains totalling at 3.61% and 5.57% respectively.
Remarkably, XRP successfully dethroned Tether’s USD and has gone on to reclaim the 3rd spot after its market cap surpassed $151 billion.
The bullish uprising might be tied to more than just the arrival of Korean retail traders, as Ripple’s recently attained milestones have positioned the network as an attractive investment for institutional players.
XRP raked in 9% in gains in under 24 hours, resulting in a price surge to $2.57. XRP trades at $2.94 and appears to be well on its way to testing the $3 price mark.
With 7-day gains crossing 24% at report time, XRP has emerged as the highest gainer in the top 5 category, outperforming Bitcoin, Ether, USDT, BNB, and SOL.
