In the ongoing ‘biggest bitcoin event in the world’, among other big mini-events and announcements, Strike seems to make new ‘strikes’
More and more companies are getting closer to the bitcoin lightning network, Strike, for mass adoption, especially at the Bitcoin Miami 2022 conference. The recent announcement by BTC network-based digital payments platform stated that the platform would integrate with multinational e-commerce company Shopify and partner with payment firm Blackhawk and the world’s largest point of sale supplier, NCR.
Founder and CEO of Strike, Jack Mallers, said that the platform is proud to partner with eCommerce platform Shopify. They would serve merchants to provide them a cheaper and rapid way of accepting payments in US dollars using bitcoin network blockchain technology. He also said that the Lighting Network is a Bitcoin network-based global payments network which acts upon lowering the costs of transactions, maximizes the speed, brings more innovation, helps in improving financial inclusion, and brings more power of choice for consumers and merchants.
The integration is seen as a quick and cheap service that would serve as an alternative to the traditional payment system, which would bring many benefits to the chain of consumers. The facility would be available all over the world for anyone and would have a wallet of Lighting Network.
The Canadian multinational e-commerce platform, Shopify, has already supported crypto, accepts payments in crypto, and added merchant support for NFTs. Shopify merchants use Coinbase Commerce, Bitpay, and CoinPayments.Net like platforms to accept numerous cryptocurrencies on their stores. However, not Bitcoin Lightning Network integration would bring new opportunities and open new doors for them.
At the same time, NCR offers a wide range of payment solutions, which means that now the lighting network can be used by consumers to pay for restaurants, retail, groceries, and more.
Strike CEO also said before that with the monetary network of Bitcoin, the whole financial system would be way faster, cheaper, more innovative, and more inclusive.
Such large partnerships and integrations resulted in the BTC payments network being made more accessible to more people. The payment service provider Strike App has benefited greatly from the bitcoin initiative of El Salvador. The flagship cryptocurrency gained and experienced positive consequences as the country adopted it as its legal tender.
However, there are possibilities that the cryptocurrency would see way more success in comparison to acceptance in El Salvador as the commercial space is very huge in comparison to the Latin American country, and it implies greater adoption levels.
