As we approach the end of 2023, Işık University, one of Turkey’s leading universities, researched the cryptocurrency expectations of Turkish investors in 2024.
According to Dünya Newspaper, the columnist is also the Head of Işık University Business Administration Department, Prof. Dr. A survey conducted by Dilek Leblebici Teker and doctoral student Halit Güzelsoy investigated Turkish investors’ perspective on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and their expectations for 2024.
95 percent of investors surveyed stated that cryptocurrencies pose a high level of risk.
Investors said that behind these thoughts are factors such as lack of regulation and information on cryptocurrencies, excessive fluctuation in prices, uncertainty, corruption in crypto exchanges and the possibility of hacking.
60 percent of Turkish investors who participated in the survey stated that they saw cryptocurrencies and the sector as a virtual bubble.
43 percent of investors think there will be a collapse in the cryptocurrency markets in 2024.
In response to these negative thoughts, 23 percent of investors participating in the survey said that they believe BTC and cryptocurrencies will be the most demanded investment instruments in the next 10 years.
