The bonuses will be awarded to the top three fighters on UFC Pay-Per-View that will be voted by fans from all over the world.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts company, has unveiled the Fight Night Bonuses that will be paid in Bitcoin (BTC). The Fight Night Bonuses is a new creation in partnership with Crypto.com, the official crypto partner.
According to UFC via the announcement, the new Fight Night Bonuses will feature three Bitcoin bonuses. Notably, the bonuses will be awarded to the top three fighters appearing on each UFC Pay-Per-View. The three fighters’ positions will be decided by fans voting from all over the world.
According to the company, voting will take place on Crypto.com/FanBonus. Each fan is entitled to three votes per Pay-Per-View and can vote for two fighters within each bout.
“Crypto.com has been an official UFC partner for less than a year, and I’m telling you they are already one of the best partners we’ve ever had,” said UFC President Dana White. “They’re constantly coming up with new ideas about how we can work together to connect with the fans. This new Fan Bonus of the Night is an awesome way to get fans more engaged in our events while rewarding the fighters for bad-ass performances.”
“Central to our partnership with UFC is creating the most unique and compelling ways for fans to connect with the sport and their favorite athletes,” said Steven Kalifowitz, Chief Marketing Officer of Crypto.com. “We are thrilled for this next step in our partnership with UFC and excited to build even more innovative and engaging experiences as our partnership continues.”
Bigger Picture of UFC and Crypto.com’s Bitcoin Partnership
Crypto.com has made headlines in the recent past due to the high-profile partnerships and company reorganization. Remember the historic Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Others include the recently announced Formula 1, Australian Football League, Philadelphia 76ers, and Paris Saint-Germain.
The crypto company made even bigger headlines when it made the largest crypto burn worth billions in CRO tokens. All these are in a bid to increase activity in its exchange platform and accelerate global crypto adoption.
Nevertheless, the crypto company has made notable returns to the community. For instance, the UFC Bitcoin payouts will range from $30,000 for first place, $20,000 for second place, and $10,000 for third place.
Notably, the Bitcoin bonuses will be issued during the fight between OLKANOVSKI vs THE KOREAN ZOMBIE. The event is scheduled to take place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida this Saturday, April 9.
Meanwhile, Cronos (CRO) is ranked by CoinGecko at position 28 with a market cap of approximately $11.4 billion. The asset exchanged hands at around $0.45 having gained approximately 1.1 percent in the past 24 hours.
