Saylor hints at more Bitcoin buys as BTC nears record high

  • Bitcoin and MSTR are back in the spotlight.
  • Is another BTC breakout on the horizon?

Strategy’s [MSTR] portfolio tracker is back in the spotlight, with another Bitcoin [BTC] buy stirring up Crypto Twitter. Notably, it would be the second acquisition this month – just as BTC eyes a breakout.

But forget the headlines. Here, planning matters.

With the U.S.-China “breakthrough” trade deal pumping fresh oxygen into risk assets, equities are back in bid mode. And MSTR? It’s positioning.

The last allocation proves the playbook.

Opportunistic, not ideological

According to AMBCrypto, MSTR’s alignment with Bitcoin isn’t just about belief. Instead, it’s about seizing the right moment.

On the 5th of May, as headlines shifted to the U.S.-U.K. trade agreement, MSTR stepped in, scooping up 1,895 BTC at an average fill of $95,167. Total ticket: $180 million.

The impact? Immediate. BTC popped +2.19% the next day, slicing through the $96k supply shelf and forcing shorts to cover.

In fact, spot liquidity thinned, market makers adjusted risk, and directional flows kicked in. As of press time, BTC traded at $104k – putting MSTR’s recent entry in profit by +9.77%.

Fast forward a week, and Strategy pulls the trigger again.

As the 90-day tariff relief news between the U.S. and China dropped, another 13,390 BTC for $1.34 billion were added to MSTR’s treasury, bringing their total holdings to 568,840 BTC.

Is another liquidity sweep imminent, positioning Bitcoin for a fresh all-time high?

Bitcoin’s macro playbook

Too early to front-run last week’s BTC breakout? Maybe. But MSTR is already emerging as a clear winner.

With the 90-day tariff relief set to hit the equity open, macro tailwinds are inbound.  Yet MSTR didn’t wait around.

The stock broke clean above the $400 ceiling, riding spot BTC’s upside and now eyeing $440 with momentum building.

Bottom line? MSTR’s strategic deployment is compounding returns – both from balance sheet BTC and the broader risk-on rally.

In turn, Bitcoin’s narrative gets stronger. The logic is simple: Every uptick in MSTR’s valuation unlocks more firepower for future buys.

Therefore, as macro FUD fades and liquidity rotates back into risk, don’t be surprised if MSTR reloads – and Bitcoin front-runs the next move.

Bitcoin’s ATH? A function of time and tape.
