MicroStrategy just announced they bought 660 bitcoin for $25 million during last month.
Michael Saylor, MicroStrategy’s CEO, said the average price was $37,865 per bitcoin.
That means they’ve made a profit of $450,000 so far on this purchase as bitcoin’s price has risen to about $39,000.
MicroStrategy now hold 125,051 bitcoins acquired for ~$3.78 billion at an average price of ~$30,200, Saylor said.
They are to announce last quarter’s earnings after trading hours later today for the public company.
The consensus EPS Estimate is $1.49 (-28.0% Y/Y) and the consensus Revenue Estimate is $133.2M (+1.4% Y/Y).
Some of their profits go towards bitcoin which they hold as reserves and do not intend to sell in the near future.
