Ledger launches its biggest promotion yet in commemoration of the upcoming Bitcoin halving
With Bitcoin’s halving just two weeks away, Ledger has kicked off an enticing week-long promotion to celebrate the halving event, which happens only every four years. As part of the promotion, Ledger is bundling Bitcoin vouchers worth between $10 and $50 BTC with four of its top hardware wallets and one of the most popular seed storage devices.

The following devices are eligible for the free Bitcoin reward (the value of the BTC voucher is in the brackets):
- Ledger Nano X ($30 of BTC)
- Ledger Nano S Plus ($20 of BTC)
- The Ledger Duo ($50 of BTC)
- Ledger Nano X + Ledger Recover ($40 of BTC)
- CryptoTag ($10 of BTC)

Meanwhile, Ledger Recover is a cloud-based wallet recovery service offered by Ledger in partnership with Coincover. The idea behind this service is that it allows users to access their wallet even in the event that they lose their seed phrase backup.
How to claim free Bitcoin
As a part of the new promotion, Bitcoin vouchers are automatically added to the cart when buying a new device. The device is then shipped with a voucher that contains a redemption code that’s needed to claim the BTC reward. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide to redeeming the free Bitcoin:
- Buy a Ledger device: When the device is added to the cart, the BTC voucher is added as well.
- Receive your Ledger device: The box containing the hardware device comes with a voucher that contains the redemption code.
- Scratch to reveal the redemption code: Scratch the protective layer from the voucher to reveal the redemption code.
- Enter the redemption code in Ledger Live to claim your BTC: Enter the redemption code into the Ledger Live software to claim the BTC reward.
It’s worth mentioning that the backside of each voucher contains a QR code that takes users to a webpage with detailed instructions on how to claim the Bitcoin reward.
The promotion started today (April 9) and will run until April 16, 2024.
