Fidelity Exchange Traded Products GmbH has listed two new Bitcoin ETPs in US Dollar and Swiss Franc at SIX Swiss Exchange today, the platform confirmed in a press release. With the addition of new Bitcoin ETPs, investors now have the option to access 208 products based on 18 digital currencies.
The latest listing by Fidelity at the SIX Swiss Exchange brought the total number of crypto ETP issuers to 10. Moreover, the number of tradeable crypto ETPs reached 133. SIX Swiss Exchange offers trading in a wide range of digital asset products.
“The launch of the Fidelity Physical Bitcoin ETP is an important evolution of our exchange-traded product offering and the first step in our digital asset product capability. Working with best-in-class service providers, including Fidelity Digital Assets and Brown Brothers Harriman, has allowed us to deliver an extremely robust product structure which allows our clients in Europe to obtain access to Bitcoin in a secure and convenient way,” Nick King, Head of ETFs at Fidelity, said.
In January 2022, Switzerland-based financial services provider, Swissquote became a structured product issuer on SIX.
Crypto Segment
Crypto-related products played an important role in the overall growth of trading volumes at the SIX Swiss Exchange in 2021. Last year, the exchange saw a trading turnover of CHF 8.6 billion related to the crypto segment, up by 673% compared to 2020. The number of transactions also jumped substantially. 354,542 trades were carried out in crypto products, an increase of 634% compared to 2020 (48,300).
